The Dress

The party dresses hung limped on the rack as she flicked through them, pausing at each one before discarding it. This year’s color was purple, she looked nice in it, but the cut was the problem. Floor length was in fashion and she didn’t have the figure for that. Finally, she picked one and went to the changing rooms. She avoided her reflection and squeezed into a little black number, it didn’t fit. She wiggled out of the dress and decided that a skirt and blouse would be better.
